Mrs. Gertrude C. (Brown) Brummett, 64, of Rt. 7, near Wea, was found dead in bed Wednesday, July 30, 1958, by her grandson, Jerry L. Brummett, who made his home with her. Born in Brown County, she had spent most of her life in Wea Township and was married in 1918 to Joseph Brummett. She was a member of Stidham Methodist Church.
Surviving besides her grandson are a daughter, Mrs.Kathleen Garrigus of Richmond; a son, LaVerne Brummett of rural Lafayette; a brother, Byron Brown of Crawfordsville; and a sister, Mrs. Blanche DuVall of Indianapolis. Service August 2 at Dwight-Baker Funeral Home, Dayton, the Rev. Norris King officiating;
burial Rest Haven Memorial Park.
