Obituary published in the Citizens' Voice - April 2, 2010

Jami L. Truax, 23, of Kingston passed away Tuesday, March 30, 2010, in Wilkes-Barre General Hospital.

Born on June 1, 1986, in Kingston, she was a daughter of David H. Truax and Robin Spicer.

In addition to her parents, she is survived by a daughter, Carissa Breann Truax; a son, Asa James Lakey; three brothers, Michael, David and Damien Truax; a sister, Candice Spicer.

Private Services will be held at the convenience of the family.

Condolences at www.CremationByEverhart.com.

Jami was a young woman whose life was finally going the way she wanted. On the eve of regaining custody of her daughter after four long years of separation, she suffered a heart attack. She was comatose for five days and never regained conciousness. Though I didn't know her well, she seemed like a sweet girl who genuinely loved and cared for her children. Her loss is truly a tragedy for the children she left behind as well as her family.

Jami Truax, the mother of my granddaughter, Carissa Breann Truax Petsko, will never be forgotten.
