Enlisted 6 JUL 1861 at Jefferson City, MO as a Private; Mustered into MO Militia, Polk County Home Guards (15 Reg. USRC) Co. B. - Discharged 6 DEC 1861.

AUG1862: "Horse lost from cars while transported from Jefferson City to Sedalia."

Enlisted as a Private; 20; Mustered 13 MAR 1862 at Bolivar, MO into MO 8 State Militia Cavalry, Co. E; Detached APR 1863; absent sick OCT 1862; Discharged "by virtue re-enlistment in 13 MO Voluntary Cavalry" 27 Aug 1864.

Physical: [AUG 1864] Age 22; 5' 8"; eyes blue; hair red; complexion fair; Occupation farmer; Born in Robinson County, TN.

AUG1864: "Due Government, $1.75 for bayonet & scabbard lost by neglect"

Died: Of disease [inflammation of the bowels] 2 MAY 1865 at in hospital Waynesville, MO.
