Mrs. Death was born in Buford, Georgia, in 1930. She moved to Atlanta, where she met and married Harry Death in 1950. They later moved to Alabama, where they were long-time residents.
She is preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, Harry Death Jr.; parents, Grover and Walter Higgins; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Harry Death Sr. and Vivian Death; son-in-law, Bruce Whorton; brother- in-law, William Death (Delores); sister-in-law, Mary Laura Palmisano (Ralph).
She is survived by daughters Sherry Whorton, Debbie Boggs; son Danny Death (Kelly).
She was "Little Gump" to her grandchildren Jeremy Boggs, Justin Boggs (Shannon), Brittney Hill (Chris), Blake Whorton, Sydney Death, Jared Death; great-grandchildren, Morgan Boggs, Janie Boggs and Jake Boggs; and her beloved dog Ellie.
Pallbearers will be her grandsons.
Special thanks to Lindsey Dupree and staff of Alacare Hospice, Healing Hearts, Compassionate Comforters and Tansley Washburn.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Alzheimer's Association, Alacare Hospice and National Cancer Association.
