   Lewis C. Korody, 83 of Aurora passed away on July 27, 2000 at Provena Mercy Center Hospital.
    He was born January 5, 1917 in Mobridge, SD. He was a graduate of East Aurora High School, served during WWII in the US Army as a staff sergeant. He retired in 1981 from Electro Motive Division in LaGrange. He was also a member of The American Legion post #0084 Aurora and VFW Post 7452 Montgomery. A member of St. Michael Church where he was married to his wife Emily of 59 years.
    He is survived by his wife Emily (Ciko) Korody of Aurora, a son Stephen Korody of Aurora, a daughter Karen (Korody) Lapp of Aurora, four grandchildren, Shawn (Jason) Thomas of Wheaton, Chip Stone of Aurora, Charles (Holly) Stone of Woodbridge, Virginia, Rebecca Stone of Aurora, three great grandchildren, Alex, Lewis, Jacob, a sister Marha (Tony) Potenziani of Albuquerque, NM, and several nieces and nephews.
    He was preceded in death by his parents John and Theresa Korody, three brothers John, George, and Matt, three sisters, Anne Kline, Mary Lowny and Lily Hagie.
    Funeral from The Daleiden Lake Street Mortuary Monday July 31, 2000 at 11:30 AM to St. Michael Church at Noon. Very Rev. Aurel Pater will officiate, with interment in St. Michael Cemetery.
    Visitation will be from 3:00-8:00 PM Sunday at The Daleiden Lake Street Mortuary 220 N. Lake Street, Aurora, IL (630)898-8634 The Liturgical wake service at 5:00 PM.
