Albert and Rosebell had 5 children together, Pearl May, Earl R, Bertha Jane, Harry L, and Ralph. Rosabell died in 1919 at age 52 due to complications from pneumonia.

In researching the direct McClure lineage that precedes Albert Ruphus McClure, easily discovered is his father John A. McClure. John's father, who would be Albert's paternal grandfather, is not as easily found as several family trees at Ancestry have him as the son of Robert C S McClure and Susan Martha Goad. This is not correct by my findings. John's parents are actually Cyrus McClure (b. about 1810 in North Carolina) and Lucy Thompson (b. abt 1811 in South Carolina). They had two sons, John A and William Harvey McClure. The family lived in both Clay township in Washington County, IA and Clear Creek Township in Keokuk County, IA.
If additional information is needed to reach the conclusion that Cyrus McClure is the grandfather of Albert, you need only look at John A McClure's death certificate. "Cirus" is listed as John's father. Cyrus McClure is also cited as father to Harvey McClure, brother to John.
My Thoughts About Lucy Thompson: I am thinking that Lucy is perhaps a nickname for Lucelia. A Celia McClure is recorded in census records and Lucy Thompson is recorded as mother in Harvey's marriage certificate to his second wife, Mary Schrum (Mary was first married to Alonzo Thompson).
I would appreciate any information about the birth records, death records, marriage record, or parentage information on Cyrus or Lucy.... or Cecila.
