The woman who died today after her sport utility vehicle crashed into the back of a tanker truck in south Bossier City is a Bossier Parish middle school teacher.

Authorities were investigating whether she suffered a medical condition prior to the wreck, which could have caused her death.

Killed was Belinda Morris Krumtum, an English and language arts teacher at Benton Middle School.

The wreck happened about 10:30 a.m. on Jimmie Davis Highway at Sunflower Boulevard.

Police and witnesses said Krumtum, 50, had been driving erratically on Barksdale Boulevard, then turned on Jimmie Davis Highway and continued weaving on the street Her Toyota Highlander then crashed into the back of the tanker truck, which was stopped in traffic.

The driver of the truck was not injured.

Krumtum was the only occupant of the SUV. Police said all indication were that she was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash.
