John R. "Jackie" Benningfield Jr., 63, Lawrenceburg, died October 9, 2006, at his residence. Born January 17, 1943, [s/b January 7, 1943] in Lebanon, Benningfield was a systems analyst and programmer for Square D in Lexington and member of St. Lawrence Catholic Church in Lawrenceburg. He was preceded in death by his parents, Margaret Mary Luckett & John R. Benningfield Sr. Survivors include his wife, Elizabeth A. "Betty" Elder Benningfield; one daughter, Karen Ruble of Lawrenceburg; two sons, Johnny & Stephen Benningfield, both of Lawrenceburg; three brothers, Gary & Pat Benningfield, both of Lebanon, and Michael Benningfield of Georgia; and seven grandchildren. A funeral Mass will be held at 10 a.m. tomorrow, October 12, at St. Lawrence Catholic Church, with burial in the Lawrenceburg Cemetery. Fr. Charles Savarimuthu and Bro. Terry Cooper will officiate. Pallbearers will be Johnny & Stephen Benningfield, Rusty Ruble and Gary, Michael & Pat Benningfield.
