BUREN W. JACKSON RITES AT C-CITY

COLORADO CITY ~~ Funeral for Buren William Jackson, 74, will be held at 2:30 p.m. Sunday in Fairview Baptist Church with the Rev. Bill Morrell, pastor, officiating.

He will be assisted b the Rev. Jim Fields of Stanton. Burial in Colorado City Cemetery will be directed by Kiker and Son Funeral Home.

Mr. Jackson died at 1:30 a.m. Friday in Root Memorial Hospital after a two day illness.

Born January 10, 1885 in Alabama, he married Emma Victoria Bonner there on November 16, 1902. The family moved to Mitchell County in 1919 and Mr. Jackson farmed in the Fairview community.

Survivors include four sons, Alvin of Pennington Gap, Virginia, Amon of Knott, John of Vealmoor and Dave of Colorado City; three daughters, Mrs. Joe McGee of Loraine, Mrs. G. P. Wiggins of Cuthbert and Mrs. Cecil Schafer of Colorado City; one sister, Mrs. C.J. Griffin of Quitman, Mississippi; one brother, E. T. Jackson of Sinton; 23 grandchildren and 27 great-grandchildren.
