Francisco Fratus was born in the Azore Islands, Portugal in 1822. He married Mary Joseph from Flores Island, Azores and they had the following children: Joseph who married Maria Joseph; Amelia who married Daniel Frederick Bates; Anna who married Manuel F Silvia; Joseph M who died very young; Mary Emily who married Antoine Andrews; Frank who married Hattie Friese; Josephine who married Antoine Sidney; Phoebe who married Frank Antoine Mitchell; and Annie Maria who married James H Morris.
About 1869, Francisco and the family immigrated from the Azore Islands to the United States and settled in the Beechwood Area of Cohasset, Massachusetts where they had two more children, Antoine and John Warren who married Susie Mabel Souther.
During the year of 1898, Francisco died and was buried in the Beechwood Cemetary in Cohasset.
