William "Bill" Donald Miller, age 72, of Centerville, Iowa, died Wednesday, November 9, 2005, at Golden Age Care Center in Centerville, Iowa. Bill was born the son of Jennings Bryan "JB" Miller and Amy Arminda(Eddy)Miller on March 29, 1933 in Whitten, Iowa. He graduated from the Hampton Community School in 1951.

On October 23, 1953, Bill was united in marriage to Glovia Hatten in Wiggins, Mississippi. Bill served his country in the United States Air Force from June of 1952 to June of 1956. After being discharged from the service Bill began his life long career of working in the new computer industry. He saw much growth with the industry over his years of working with computers, and served many different positions from engineer to administrator before his retirement in 1994. During his retirement years he had a chance to do what he loved and that was traveling. Bill owned and operated The Oaks Campground east of Unionville, Iowa on what is now called the Oaks Road. He was a member of the Peoples' Baptist Church in Centerville, Iowa. Bill was a devoted family man.

Bill is preceded in death by: his parents; and one granddaughter, Erin Shepard.

He is survived by: his wife Glovia Miller; One Son; Gary Miller and his wife Rachel of York, South Carolina; Two Daughters, Carol Shepard of Lake Mary, Florida; and Judy Todd and her husband Danny of Columbia, Missouri and five grandchildren, Kurtis and Kenneth Miller, Ryan Shepard, Amy and William Todd. Bill is also survived by one brother, Jim Miller and his wife Joyce, of Webster Minnesota. Bill has many cousins, nieces, and nephews.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, Novembeer 14, 2005 at 10:00 am at the Peoples' Baptist Church in Centerville, Iowa with Rev. Mike Willis officiating. Burial will be Tuesday, November 15, 2005 at Rose Hill Memorial Gardens Cemetery, Marshalltown, Iowa at 11:00 am. Visitation will be held on Sunday, November 13, 2005 from 1 pm till 8 pm with the family present from 6 pm to 8 pm at the Schmidt Family Funeral Home in Centerville, Iowa.

Memorials can be made to the People's Baptist Church Missionary Fund and can be left at the funeral home.
