Funeral Tuesday Afternoon at Salvation Army Citadel.

Frontenac, June 22 - Mrs. Sarah Filkins, 92, resident of Pittsburg and Frontenac for 59 years; died at 4:30 o'clock Saturday afternoon at the home of a son, Harry Filkins, 206 West Twenty-first. She had been in ill health for the past seven months.
Born Dec. 9, 1860 in Jacksonville, Ill., she moved to Clay Center and then in 1894 to Frontenac. Since that time she has lived either here or in Pittsburg Mrs. Filkins was a member of the Salvation Army.
Surviving besides the son are two daughters, Mrs. Ann Millard, Hoisington, and Mrs. John Westerlin, 304 West Ninth; two sisters, Mrs. Bell Salter St. Joseph and Mrs. Emma Howard, Pueblo, Colo.; one grandchild and one great grandchild.
Funeral services will be held at 2 o'clock Tuesday afternoon at the Salvation Army citadel on East Fourth Street in Pittsburg. The body will be taken there at 1p.m. Tuesday. Captain Lewis Forney will officiate. Interment will be in Highland Park cemetery The Friskel funeral home in Frontenac is in charge of the arrangements.
