George Alexander, Ex-Borden Official
Funeral services for George Alexander, 72, a retired plant manager for the Borden Farm Products Division of the Borden Company, will be held at 8:30 p.m. tomorrow in the Fred Herbst Sons Memorial, 7501 5th Avenue. The Rev. Dr. William F. Sunday, pastor of the Lutheran Church of the Good Shepherd, 4th Avenue and 75th Street, will officiate. Burial will be Friday in Green-Wood Cemetery.
Mr. Alexander, who resided at 439 74th Street, died Monday night at Mather Memorial Hospital, Port Jefferson.
He was brought to this country from his native Ireland as an infant and had made his home since in Brooklyn. When he retired about ten years ago he had been associated with the Borden Company for 40 years. His wife, Mrs. Mabel Palen Alexander, died some time ago.
Two daughters, Mrs. Ruth Moshier and Mrs. Adelaide Keleher, survive.
