Willie Taft Zinnerman, the son of Claude and Sophia Johnson Zimmerman, was born in Ellsworth county Kansas, 27 September 1909 and died suddenly during the night, about 12:30, 24 November 1953 at his home, 418 South Tulip, McPherson Kansas.
He had not been ill previously and his death was due to a heart attack at age of 44 years 1 month and 28 days.
He had resided in McPherson for the last fifteen years, formerly living at Marquette Kansas. "Butch" as he was known by his friends, had served his country for over three years during World War II. He was a member od the American Legion and was employed as a packer at K.B.R. Mill.
02 April 1945 he was united in marriage to Edna Kneeling at Crest View, Florida. Survivors include his wife; three step-daughters Thelma Lois and Gladys Marie Keeling of the home, Mrs, Patty Ann Stubby, Fort Belvoir, VA a step-son, Alvin Lester Keeling, in Korea; 3 brothers; Howard, Marquette; Frank, Brookville; Willard, Garden City; and one step-grandson.
