Theodore "Ted" Walter Bremer, Maj. USAF (Ret.) age 94, of Marietta, GA died Sunday, May 23, 2004.

Maj. Bremer grew up in Wilmington, NC, where he graduated from New Hanover High School in 1928. He graduated from UNC Chapel Hill in 1932 with an AB degree and one year of law. He was called to active duty as a 2nd Lieutenant in the Army Air Corps in 1946 when he took a job with the Veterans Administration. He was recalled to active duty in the USAF in 1951 and remained in the USAF until August 1961. While stationed in Atlanta, Ted earned his Doctor of Jurisprudence and Master of Law degree at the Atlanta Law School. In 1961, Maj. Bremer began work at the Veterans Administration in the Central Office in Washington, DC; he retired in 1974. He and Mrs. Bremer were residents of Annandale, VA, until June of 2003. He was a member of the Lutheran Church of the Redeemer in Atlanta, GA.

He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Emma Davis Bremer of Marietta; three children, Virginia Wiley, Theodore "Ted" Bremer, both of Marietta; Elizabeth B. Bruchon of Belmont, NC; nine grandchildren; and a great granddaughter.
