6th Earl of Darnley, Lieutenant-Colonel in the West Kent Yeomanry Cavalry. He was president of the Kent CCC in 1859, 1869, 1872 and 1882, and of the MCC in 1849. He presided at the 1859 meeting at which the old Kent Cricket Club was formed. He married Lady Harriet Mary Pelham, daughter of Henry Thomas Pelham, 3rd Earl of Chichester and Lady Mary Brudenell, and was the father of Ivo Bligh, the famous cricketer.
