PIKEVILLE, TN — Clarence Edward Holland, 76, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, March 6, 2010.

Clarence was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather. He proudly served his country in the United States Army during the Korean War. He was employed with Taft Youth Center as a boiler operator. He was a member of Mooneyham Freewill Baptist Church and of the American Legion Post 66.

Clarence was preceded in death by his infant son, Gary Allen Holland; brother, William Holland; sister, Marie Gifford; and his parents, Herman and Eva Holland.

He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Ellen Troy Holland; sons, Randy (Kathy) Holland, Duluth, GA, and Stanley Holland, Murfreesboro, TN, daughter, Pam (Danny) Fowler, Dunlap, TN, brother, Alford (Peggy) Holland, Pikeville, TN; and four grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held in the chapel of Pikeville Funeral Home at 10 a.m. CST on Tuesday March 9, 2010 with Bro. Wayne Sullivan and Bro. Hubert Thurman officiating.

Burial will be in Blankenship Cemetery with full military honors, followed by a white dove release.
