Virgil Scott Buried Monday at Dodson
Graveside services were conducted at Dodson Cemetery Monday, May 24, for Virgil Scott, 79, of Dallas. Officiating were Ministers Van Bonneau of Dodson, Frank Duckworth of Lockney and Larry Branum of Amarillo. Mr. Scott was stricken with a heart attack while working on his home and died at 1:30 a.m. Saturday.
A retired carpenter, he was reared at Dodson and moved to Dallas about 1940. He was the son of the late Mr. and Ms. Jim Scott, Dodson pioneers. Funeral services were conducted at Dallas Sunday.
Survivors are his wife, the former Flossie Binkley, whom he married at Dodson, and a son Virgil Lee Scott of Eldorado, Ark.
