Born August 7, 1911 in Crosbyton, Texas to Dener Ira and Sallie Ann Vaughn Roe. He married Jean Brunson in Belen, New Mexico, September 9, 1939.
Mr. Roe was a veteran of World War II, serving in the U.S. Army, and he received the Purple Heart.
He was a long-time resident of El Paso, Texas and had lived in the Salt Lake area for the past nine years.
Survived by his wife, Jean; daughter, Janell (Dennis) Burk; grandchildren, Bruce Cranford (Margaret); Stacey Shepherd (Jeff); Del Cranford; Layne Cranford; Kelly Cranford; Christopher Burk (Missy); Neil Burk; and by seven great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by a daughter, Mary Anne Cranford.
Dandy and Granny loved to travel. They traveled extensively in the U.S. and Canada, making two trips to Alaska and trips to Australia, Europe, South America and the Caribbean. He was proud that they had visited every state.
