Hugo W. Druehl, Long Resident of Salt Lake, Dead
Hugo W. Druehl, well known in Salt Lake, where he was connected with the drug store at Second South and Main streets for many years, died Monday night at his home, 11 Jordan ave, San Francisco. Mr. Druehl moved to the coast city about four years ago to engage in the drug business there, after he had dispersed of his holdings here.
Mr. Druehl spent most of his life in Salt Lake, where his father, F. A. Druehl, was for many years a leader in pharmaceutical circles. The elder Druehl came here from Chicago in 1890. Later he joined with J. L. Franken in the firm which bore their name for many years. When Mr. Franken retired from the firm, the business was known as Druehl Drug store and Hugo W. Druehl was its manager for some time. F. A. Druehl died in Hollywood last summer.
Hugo W. Druehl had been ill at San Francisco since last June, and his death was not unexpected. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Sylvia Cohn Druehl, and two sons, Hugo, Jr., and Roger, who are in San Francisco. A brother, Walter Druehl, is in Denver and a sister, Mrs. Milton Oglesby, in Washington, D. C.
