Services for Carroll S. "Cowboy" Walker, 78, of Colorado City were held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at graveside with the Rev. Peter Klein officiating.

Burial will be in Colorado City Cemetery.

Mr. Walker died November 7,1993 at Kristi Lee Manor. He was born October 18, 1915 in Coleman County. He married Bernice Barr on November 29, 1940 in Colorado City.

Mr. Walker had been a resident o f Colorado City for 43 years. He went to work for Col-Tex in 1940 and in 1969 he went to work for Cosden in Big Spring. He retired from Fina in 1979. He was active with Little League and Pony League in the 50's an d 60's. He was preceded in death by his parents, Sam and Mertie Walker, two brothers, Curtis and Roy Walker, one son, Ardis Walker, one grandson and one granddaughter.

Survivors include his wife, Bernice Walker of Colorado City, one son, Dale Walker of Big Spring; one daughter, Carolyn Tindol of Big Spring ; one brother, William Walker of Chicago; one sister, Winnie Palmer of Robert Lee, eleven grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
