Ralph Albon, Jr., of Baytown, Texas, beloved husband, father, grandfather and uncle, passed away peacefully in his home Sunday, May 6, 2007.

He began his journey in this life on September 3, 1930. After obtaining a degree in electrical engineering from Purdue University and an MBA from the University of Houston, he enjoyed a successful career at NASA for more than 30 years. He participated in two churches and was an elder of First Westminster Presbyterian Church of Baytown, serving on local, Presbytery and General Assembly committees. He was an active Kiwanian and after retirement enjoyed volunteer work and traveling with his wife, Eleanor.

Ralph was preceded in death by his parents, Ralph and Alice Albon and sister Nancy Hanson, he is survived by his loving wife, Eleanor Wilkie Albon; daughters and sons-in-law, Mary and George Ramirez, of Austin, Diane Murphy, of The Woodlands and Sandy and Bob Bowman, of Santa Rosa, CA; grandchildren, Michael and Madeleine Ramirez, Justin Murphy, Ashley and Katelyn Bowman and Aaron Temple; nieces, Rossanna Enlow and Christie Shepherd and her husband, Mark; brother-and-sisters-in-law, Bill and Anna Rose Wilkie, of Baytown and Bill and Wilma Hanson, of St. Louis, MO.

There will be a visitation at Trinity Episcopal Church, 5010 N. Main, Baytown, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., Friday, May 11, 2007. Funeral service will be held at first Westminster Presbyterian Church, 1715 Market, Baytown, Texas on Saturday, May 12 at 11:00 a.m., followed by a private family internment. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to First Westminster Presbyterian Church Building Fund or the American Cancer Society.

The family would like to thank friends and both church congregations for their love and support. We also wish to thank the staff of Regency Hospice for their loving support and care.
