Sarah Louise Krieg Adams, 78, of Baytown, passed away Tuesday, September 5, 2006, at her home. She was born April 29, 1928, to William B. and Sarah Louise (Troutman) Krieg, in Pottsville, Pennsylvania. She was a graduate of Byrd High School in Shreveport, LA. For the past 49 years, Sally was a member of First Westminster Presbyterian Church. She served as secretary of the board of the Presbyterian Women, was a member of the Fellowship Committee and served as deacon. She enjoyed the church Safari Retreat each year and was a volunteer at the Thrift shop. She especially enjoyed helping each year at the Relay for Life. She also volunteered at San Jacinto Methodist Hospital for many years. She was a retired secretary for Cedar Bayou Jr. High School in the Goose Creek ISD and Lee College. Sally enjoyed playing cards and dominoes with friends, traveling with Elderhostle Groups and watching and encouraging her grandchildren in their many activities. She was actively engaged in doing for others such as providing transportation for elderly friends and baking her special "pound cake" for them. She was a devoted mother, sister, grandmother and aunt and a treasured friend to many. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

Preceded in death by her parents; husbands, Kingston Adams and William Roby, she is survived by her daughters, Jeanine Adams and her husband, Gene and Suzanne Moore and her husband, Joel; brothers, Bill Krieg and his wife, Midge, Fred Krieg and his wife, Patty; brother-in-law, John Roby; sisters, Clara Jane Krieg, Lelia Smith and her husband, Tom; sister-in-law, Billie Faye Spencer; grandchildren, who have felt the influence of her strength and who will miss her greatly, Brett, Alyssa and Lelia Adams, Meredith, Adam, and Jared Moore and numerous nieces, nephews, her Wimberley family and many special friends.

The family wishes to extend thanks to special caregiver, Laura Williams, friends, and family who have supported her during her recent illness and ministered to her with calls, cards, visits and many prayers.

In lieu of flowers the family requests that memorial contributions can be made to First Presbyterian Church Building Fund, 1715 Market, Baytown, TX 77520.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, September 7, 2006, from 6 pm to 8 pm at Crespo & Jirrels Funeral Home. A memorial service will be held 2:00 pm on Friday, September 8, 2006, at First Westminister Presbyterian church, with Rev. Richard Kleiman and Rev. Bill Krieg officiating.
