Froman is best remembered for his recurring role as Lieutenant Bob Brooks in the series "Matlock" starring Andy Griffith, appearing in 56 episodes during its eight-year run (1986 to 1994). He also played both as Gunther Wagner and his twin brother Bruno Wagner on the TV soap "Edge of Night". His other credits included "Simon & Simon", "Family Feud", "TJ Hooker", "Trapper John MD", "21 Jump Street", "Diagnosis Murder", "Cheers" and as Captain K'Nera in "Star Trek: The Next Generation".
