Tommy D. Cornwell, 70, Mitchell, passed away at 12:39 p.m. Saturday at Dunn Memorial Hospital in Bedford.

Born March 14, 1939, in Kentucky, he was the adoptive son of Delmont and Eula (Hardman) Cornwell. He married Mary E. Morgan August 31, 1973.

He worked in sales and was a driver for Crawford-Morris Lumber Company for 30 plus years. Tommy was a member of the Bride of Christ Fellowship.

Surviving are his wife, Mary E. Cornwell of Mitchell; daughters, Rosezona Bowden and husband Michael of Corydon, and Shaunta Dunbar and husband Ron of El Paso, Texas; seven grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and close friends, John and Regina Wooden, Mitchell

His parents preceded him in death.

Funeral service will be at 7 p.m. Thursday in the Memorial Chapel of Chastain Funeral Home with Brother Jerry Allen officiating. Burial will be in Stampers Creek Cemetery.
