Roye Wesley Chance, age 72 of Cohutta, passed away Monday, February 15, 2010 at Hamilton Medical Center. He was preceded in death by his father, Harlie Chance; mother, Venna Mae Chance; sister-in-law, Oletha Chance. He was a member of Varnell Baptist Church and a member of the Gideon's International. Survivors include his wife, Odean Chance of the residence; daughters and sons-in-law, Rodena Chance of Rocky Face, Rhonda & Marty Harrod of Dalton, Renetta & Harold Cochran of Dalton; son and daughter-in-law, Royce & Denise Chance of Cohutta; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Opal Coe of Cohutta, Ruby & Uyless Teague of Dalton; sisters & brothers-in-law, Linda & Loyd Thomason of Cleveland, TN, Marlene Dugger of Colorado Springs, CO, Darlene & David Lucus of Pinellas Park, FL, Frances & Bradley Mathis of Dalton; brothers & sisters-in-law, Raymon Chance of Dalton, Rayson & Margie Chance of Ellijay, Hubert & Pat Chance of Dalton, David & Cecila Chance of Dalton; grandchildren, Eric & Olivia Chance, Dena & Coye Harrod; a large number of nieces and nephews also survive..
