Mr. Kamber was born in New York city, NY and was the son of the late Mustapha Kamber and Anna Kamber Self. He was a 1967 graduate of Dreher High School, graduate of the University of South Carolina, and the University of South Carolina Law School. A self-employed attorney, he was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, Columbia Ward, Jackson Blcd, currenly serving in the Military Branch.

Surviving are his wife, Anne Coleman Kamber; daughters, Emily Boesl and her husband, Christian of Columbia; Kristin Kamber of Columbia, Lauren Hughes and her husband, Bob of Charleston; and Blair Kamber of Charleston; brother, Kenneth Kamber of Ft. Bragg, CA; two grandchildren, Anna and Evan Boesl; and sister-in-law, Patricia J. Kamber of Seattle, WA. He was predeceased by a brother Earl C. Kamber.
