He was born in Summit and raised in Short Hills, where he was a little-league coach for many years with the Millburn-Short Hills Little League.
Predeceased by his parents George and Marion (Gallagher), George is survived by his brother Robert of Basking Ridge, and his sister Patty of Chatham. He is also survived by his nieces & nephews, as well as cousins. George was also very fortunate to have many lifelong friends.
A Funeral Mass was celebrated Friday, July 3, 2009 at Christ the King Church, Blue Mill Rd., New Vernon.
