Alice Clementine was also the adopted mother of Luther Bryant Gossett, and the daughter of Clayborn Reid and Catherine Rook. her TXDC she was born in Polk County, Texas.

Clementine had two children, Charles and Molly from her first marriage to Preston, brother of Finis. Alice & Finis were married 6 March 1884 in Houston County, Texas.

Oral family history has Clementine was part Indian, so she refused to have her picture taken.

She was only 64 years old when she died from malaria.
