Mrs. Edward A. Sieg
Downtown Savannah's last living icon has passed into history. At the time of her death on June 30, 2005 at the Azalealand Nursing Home, Mrs. Sieg or "G.G." as she was affectionately known to thousands of Savannahians was approaching her 96th birthday. She was the oldest living member of the Independent Presbyterian Church congregation.

Visitation is from 4-6 p.m., on Sunday, July 3, 2005 at Fox and Weeks Funeral Home on Hodgson Memorial Dr. A private burial service for the family is at Bonaventure Cemetery. A public memorial service at Independent Presbyterian Church is to be announced.
