Edna Nixon Lower graduated from Raleigh High School in 1937. She attended and graduated from Central Business College in Indpls, IN. She married John Joseph Lower on Nov 26, 1942. She held positions in Rush County Welfare, Park Furniture Co offices, and, later managed a gas station while her husband served as a para-medic in WWII. Edna was a devote Christian. She was an early member of Plum Creek Christian Church, and later a very active member Blue River Church of Christ.
Edna was a devoted mother to their 3 children: Judith Elaine (Schwartz) born Jan 9, 1947; Steven Joe born Sept 15, 1951; and, Mark Allen born Mar 30, 1959.
During her husband's positions in rural electric services, they lived in Adrian, MI; Shelbyville, IN; and eventually Rushville, IN, where she lived until her untimely death.
Edna was second in line of six children born to Luther David and Myla Alice Gordon Nixon. A sister Ellen and brother James preceded her in death. She is survived by sister Velma James (Ft Worth, TX), brother Howard of Indpls, and brother Ralph of Connersville, IN.
