Services were held Monday, May 14, 2007 at the Henderson-Barker Funeral Home in West Liberty.
Serving as pallbearers were Jeff Sprague, Darin Hollenbeck, Rick Fox, Robert Gaunt, Tom Lange, Cody Stalkfleet. Honorary pallbearers are Jason Sager, Chad Stalkfleet, and Brandon Plett. A memorial fund has been established.
Georgia was born March 28, 1920 in Cedar Rapids, the daughter of George and Ruby Schmidt McKillip. She married Roy Arthur Yeggy on Feb. 6, 1939 in Tipton. She was a wife and homemaker most of her life. She also worked at the Louis Rich Company. She enjoyed gardening, fishing and going on vacations. She also enjoyed going to the Community Center and playing bingo and cards with family and friends.
She is survived by seven children, Betty Gaunt of West Liberty, Roy Jr. (Jake) Yeggy and wife Kathy of Atalissa, Richard Yeggy and wife Joan of Pollock, MO, Mary Sprague of Nichols, Patty Fox of Muscatine, Elizabeth Hollenbeck and husband Leo Jr. of Muscatine and Sherry Goodrich and husband Roger of Iowa City; a sister Patricia Staats of McRae, Ark.; 11 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren and 14 great, great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Roy; son, Robert; two grandchildren, Tammy Baird and Scott Fox; and 11 brothers and sisters.
