A native of Sullivan County, she was the daughter of the late Noah and Bertha Hobbs Leonard. She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Worley Leonard, a son, Douglas Wayne Leonard, two sisters and one brother.
Mrs. Leonard was a member of Meadowview Presbyterian Church and a retired employee of Big Jack's.
Survivors include a daughter, Jo Ann Leonard Shad, Bristol Tennessee; one granddaughter, Angela Gross Tranum, Bristol Tennessee; one great-granddaughter, Julie Anna Ashkettle, Bristol Tennessee; one niece and two nephews also survive.
The graveside service will be conducted at 3 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 6, 2004, at Glenwood Cemetery, with the Rev. Gary Rowlette officiating. Honorary pallbearers will be Marvin Leonard, James Leonard, Joe Tranum and Kenny Ashkettle
