Laughner, Rev. J. H. (Joe) age 84, passed away at Claiborne County Hospital 1:40 p.m. Thursday. He was a member of the Cedar Springs Baptist Church and a minister for the last 50 years. Survivors: sons, John Laughner, Thorn Hill, TN., Ernest Laughner, Franklin, Ohio; daughters Mrs. Bertie Coffey, Tazewell, Mrs. Jo Ann Hipsher, Thorn Hill; 1 granddaughter, Doris Laughner, Thorn Hill, whom they reared; 14 other grandchildren; 10 great grand-children. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Sunday at Coffey Funeral Home Chapel. Interment Clement Cemetery. Pallbearers: Grandsons and all Ministers of the Gospel may be Honorary Pallbearers. Family will receive friends 7-9 p.m. Saturday at Coffey Funeral Home, Tazewell.
