Funeral services for J.B. Carrico, well known farmer of southeast of Roseville, were held on Friday afternoon at the Kugler Funeral Home in Bushnell. J.B. Carrico passed away very suddenly on Wednesday afternoon at 4 o'clock at his home five miles southeast of Roseville, his death being caused by coronary thrombosis. He was 38 years of age and was born in Kentucky. He had lived most of his life in the Youngstown Community. He is survived by his wife, his mother, Mrs. Effie Carrico, of Youngstown; two brothers, Hugh, of Galesburg and Junior Carrico, of Youngstown; six sisters, Mrs. Kenneth Finch of Roseville; Agnes, Della, Bernie, Mildred, and Mallie of Youngstown. He was born May 12, 1907 in Shelby County, Kentucky, and came to Illinois as a small boy. He was married to Miss Ethel Goodell on July 8, 1939 at Kahoka, Missouri. He and his brother, Ivo Carrico, formed a partnership known as the Carrico Brothers, and they had done custom combining and corn shelling over the south part of Warren County and were widely known. Ivo passed away in November, 1944. His father, Francis Arthur Carrico, passed away last May, 1945, also having died of coronary thrombosis.
