FRANCIS ARTHUR CARRICO, 66 years of age, a farmer residing one half mile south of Youngstown, died very suddenly at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday night, his death being caused by a heart attack. Mr. Carrico, accompanied by his wife, had gone to a pasture near his farm home to look after some stock, when he complained of feeling tired, sat down to rest and passed away in a few minutes. He had been in poor health for some time, having had an attack of angina pectoris about six weeks ago. Mr. Carrico was born on March 19, 1879, in Springfield, Ky, the son of J.B. and Melvina (Smith) Carrico. He was married to Miss Effie R. Smith on January 18, 1905 at Springfield, Ky, and they came to Illinois in 1915, residing for one year at Bradford, Illinois, and then coming to this community where they have lived for the past thirty years. To them were born twelve children, three of whom preceded him in death. He is survived by his wife and eight children, J.B. Carrico of Roseville, Hugh Carrico of near Galesburg, Mrs. Hallie Finch of near Roseville, Mrs. Della McCleary of Springfield, Millie, Agnes, Bernie, Mildred, and Junior, all at home; five grandchildren, three brothers and four sisters, all of whom live in Kentucky. Funeral services were held on Friday morning at 10 o'clock, May 25, at the St. Bernard's Catholic Church in Bushnell and burial was at Bushnell.
