She was a native of Bostwick and had lived in jacksonville for the past 44 years. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Jacksonville Beach and had worked for 30 years as a budget assistant with the U.S. Government. In 1967, she won the beauty pageant title of Miss Deaf Florida.
She is survived by a daughter, Elizabeth Hurd of Jacksonville; sisters, Joyce Russell, Brenda Hood and Sylvia Payne, all of Spokane, Wash., and Donna Dosio of Green Cove Springs; brothers, Donald Register of Bostwick and Roy Register of Alma, Ga.
Graveside services will be Wednesday, Feb. 7, at Bostwick cemetery with Bro. David Eddins officiating.
