He was born Sept. 16, 1900 in Rimersburg to Frank and Barbara (Croyle) Crissman.
A Templeton RD1 resident for most of his life, Mr Crissman retired from Contintental Clay Products in 1962 with 42 years service. He enjoyed gardening and was a cutlery craftsman.
Survivors include six sons, David F. and Clarence E. Crissman, both of Templeton RD1, Shelby M. Crissman of Tarentum, Charles A and William J Crissman both of Youngstown, OH, and James A Crissman of Ford City; five daughters, Mrs. Thomas W. (H.Jean) Hutchison of Kittanning RD5, Mrs. Earl (Shirley A.) Smith of Butler, Mrs. Malcolm (Alice R.) Bish of Distant, Mrs. Loyle (Joan E) Profit of Akron, OH and Mrs. Donald (Nancy E) Ray of Poland, OH; 47 grandchildren; 110 great grandchildren; and four great great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death on July 10, 1980 by his wife, Emma Lillian (Brink) Crissman, whom he married Aug. 15, 1921; five grandchildren, Ellen Crissman, Robert F. Hutchison, Shirley Smith, Baby Boy (twin) Crissman, and Jason Alan Ray; seven brothers, Allie, Fred, Basil, Wilford, Nathan, James and Harold Crissman; and two sisters, Faye Lamison and infant Nerva Crissman.
Funeral services were held Monday, at Bauer's Funeral Home, Kittanning, Sept 28, 1992 at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Robert J Brink officiating. Burial followed in Pine Creek Baptist Cemetery.
