James E. Barnard James E. Barnard, 84, of Jesup died June 29, 2007, at his residence.The Wayne County native was a life long participant and deacon of Jesup Primitive Baptist Church. He was a retired manager of Standard Oil Company of Jesup and former employee of the Strand Theatre and Jesup Drive-In. He was a member of the Jesup Volunteer Fire Department and the "Kings Construction Crew" ministry. Survivors include his wife of 65 years, Theresia "Tee" Kicklighter Barnard of Jesup; one brother, Robert Barnard of Hartwell; two sisters, Virginia Hatcher of Jesup and Christine Strickland of Brunswick; and several nieces and nephews. Graveside funeral services were held at Jesup City Cemetery with Elder Lindy Webb Sr., officiating.In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice of South Georgia Building Fund, 117 Drennon Drive, Jesup, GA, 31545.Rinehart and Sons Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
