Father of Linda Joyce, Wayne Paul, and Janice Rebecca McClure.
Son of James Ruffus McClure 1888-1962 and Elizabeth "Lizzie" McClure 1887-1977 both buried at Pleasant Ridge Cemetery, Huntland, Franklin, Tennessee.
Grandson of James or Jesse Franklin McClure 1857-1928 and Mary Oney Langston McClure 1861-1938, both buried at Pleasant Ridge Cemetery, Huntland, Franklin, Tennessee.
Whit was instrumental in getting the First Baptist Church of McBurg, Lincoln, Tennessee started. He will be missed by the congregation and all who knew him. He always had a laugh and a smile. Rest In Heavenly Peace Whit.

Lee Whit McClure died at home, in Elton, Tennessee. He lived with his youngest daughter, Janice Rebecca McClure Bryan, in a garage apartment at the rear of her house, at the time of his death.
