Virginia F. Soule, formerly of Augusta, died peacefully Tuesday, Jan. 6, 2010, at Maine Coast Memorial Hospital. She was born on Dec. 22, 1924, in Augusta, the daughter of Florence Bartlett-Trask. She had just celebrated her 85th birthday. She was predeceased by her husband, Raymond C. Soule; her mother, Florence Bartlett-Trask; a sister, Ruth Barrett; and a brother, Donald Bartlett. She is survived by all of her children, two daughters, Linda and her husband, James Haskell, of Franklin, and Patti Soule and her companion, Paul Gregoire, of Sidney; three sons, Wayne Soule and his wife, Linda, of Augusta, Neal Soule and his wife, Erynn, of Augusta, and David Soule and his wife, Donna, of Sidney. She is also survived by 11 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren, whom she thought of often and loved deeply; and several nieces and nephews. A graveside service will be held in the spring at Mount Hope Cemetery in Augusta.
