Reidsville– Allen Clay Warf, 85, of 1002 Elm Street, died on Tuesday, January 12, 2010, at Wesley Long Hospital.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, January 16, 2010 at 11:00 AM at Baptist Temple Church, with Rev. Clay Warf and Rev. George Fox officiating. Burial will follow in Roselawn Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers will be Heath Martin, Steven Bowman, Todd McKinney, Chris Iddings, Herman Allen and Carlos Gutierrez and honorary pallbearers will be Tanner Overby, Austin Allen, Jake Iddings, Ryan Martin and Cole Martin.

Mr. Warf was born in Henry County, VA, to the late Richard Henry and Lula Hubbard Warf. He was a member of Baptist Temple Church. He served in the US Army in World War II and was involved in the invasion of Normandy. He also loved watching and feeding the humming birds at his home. He was an electrician in Washington, D.C. and a member of IBEW, Local 26. He was preceded in death by one brother and five sisters.

He is survived by his wife, Nancy Clemmons Warf, of the home, son, Allen E. Warf and wife, Lauren of Reidsville, daughters, Linda McKinney and husband, Gary of Herndon, Va., and Brenda Martin and fiance', Kent Page; 7 grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren and sister, Sue Cook of Reidsville.
