Following her father's death in 1872, her mother married John Carr and moved to Bremond with Anna Belle and her brother Charles W. Shell. Anna Belle married Thomas G. Dellinger on 14 Feb 1890 in Robertson County, Texas. (Marriage Book 10, p. 90)
Her obituary appeared in the Waco News-Tribune on October 28, 1960, p. 32, and referred to her as one of the oldest living pioneers in Robertson County. She had been a member of Grace Methodist Church in Bremond for fifty years.
She was preceded in death by four of her children. Surviving were Frankie Mears of Bremond and A. C. Dellinger of Tulsa, Oklahoma; two grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
