MRS. W. F. LAZEAR
Lucinda Ellen Galentine was born in Greene county, Pennsylvania, Oct. 22, 1859, and passed from this life July 28, 1920, aged 61 years, 9 months and 6 days.
February 6th, 1881, she was united in marriage to W. F. Lazear. She is survived by her husband and seven children, namely: Mrs. Jessie Bond of Saskatchewan, Canada; Mrs. Alice Wing of Van Wert, Iowa; John of Mt. Ayr, Iowa, Susan and Mary of Sheridan, Wyoming and William and Fred of Derby, also thirteen grandchildren.
In early life she was converted and joined the Methodist Episcopal church, in whose communion she remained a faithful member until her death. She will long be remembered because of her faithful labors in all the women's activities of the church at Derby while her health permitted her to be active.
She was a faithful wife and a kind and loving mother throughout the years of her married life.
Funeral services were held from the Derby Methodist Episcopal church conducted by a former pastor, Rev. John Harner, assisted by the present pastor, Rev. R. C. Russell, and interment made in the Derby cemetery.
