Michael Albert Davis Jr., 62, of 5501 Azalea Lane, died at 5:30 p.m. Thursday [March 27, 1975] at General Hospital. He was a retired employee of the old Louisville Transit Co., where he had worked for 24 years. He became a bus driver for the Jefferson County school system after his retirement. He was a Navy veteran of World War II. He is survived by his wife, the former Etta Ayers; three daughters, Mrs. Patricia Ater, of Hardinsburg, IN, Mrs. Jerelene Stevenson, of Somerset, and Mrs. Joetta Willis; two sons, Michael A. Davis Jr. [s/b III], of Columbus, IN; and Buddy Davis; and 10 grandchildren. The funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday at St. Polycarp Catholic Church, 7718 Columbine Drive, with burial in Calvary Cemetery. The body will be at Owen Funeral Home, 5317 Dixie Highway, after 6 p.m. Saturday.
