PROMINENT ROGERS DOCTOR DIED SUNDAY

Dr. Thomas E. Hodges, aged 75 years, died at his home in Rogers Sunday of heart disease, thought to have been brought on by a severe attack of influenza two months ago.

Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon at the Presbyterian Church, with burial in the Rogers cemetery.

Dr. Hodges, a native of Arkansas was born in Cane Hill in 1858. He attended and graduated from the Cane Hill College. He later studied medicine and after receiving his diploma, practiced medicine in Cane Hill for a number of years. He went to Little Rock later and with others of his profession, organized the College of Physicians and Surgeons. On account of ill health, he moved to Rogers in 1914, where he practiced for a number of years. He retired in 1920.
