William Gibson, 81, employee of the Southern Railway, Ludlow, died at 8 o'clock, Monday morning, July 23, 1934, at the St. Elizabeth Hospital, Covington. The son of Joe and Harriett Gibson. Mr. Gibson was a native of Boyle County. He is survived by three daughters, Mrs. William Delhi, and Mrs. Andy Devine, Ludlow and Mrs. George Gibson, Louisville; three sons, John Gibson, Ludlow, Eli Gibson, Bromley, and Overton Gibson, Covington; two brothers, John Gibson, Lexington, and Bud Gibson, Indianapolis. Eighteen grandchildren and five great-grandchildren also survive. Funeral sservices were held at Ludlow, but a short service also was held at 10:30 o'clock Wednesday morning at the Shawnee Run church where the body was returned for burial. Rev. Lee B. Parker, officiated.
