Mrs. Stewart, ill for the past eight years, was born December 1, 1941 at Putneyville, a daughter of the former Dorothy Nolf and the late Paul E. Colwell.
Patty was married October 1, 1962 in North Carolina to Lewis A. Stewart.
Children of Patty and Lew:
Kelly and Amy Stewart, both at home.
Surviving Patty are her stepfather and her mother;
Mr. and Mrs. Russell A. Young, New Bethlehem RD1
one sister, Mrs. William (Polly) Holmes of New Bethlehem RD1; paternal grandparents, Mr and Mrs Hardee Colwell, Kittanning RD 4; and her maternal grandmother, Mrs. Lena Nolf, New Bethlehem, RD 1.
Prior to her illness, Patty had been office manager for the New Bethlehem office of Citizens Utilities Company of Pennsylvania. She was a member of the Putneyville United Methodist Church and had been active in the Girl Scout program in the Mahoning area.
Friends are being received from 7-9 p.m. Wednesday and from 2-4 and 7-9 Thursday at the Charles D. Alcorn Funeral Home, Hawthorn. Friends will also be received at the funeral home until noon Friday when the body will be removed to the Putneyville United Methodist Church, where memorial services will be conducted at 2 p.m. by her pastor, the Rev. Seth Stewart and the Rev. Girard M. Sayre of the Claysville, Pa., U.M. Church, a former pastor at Putneyville.
Burial will be in the Oakland Cemetery.
