"Lon Warren, who was a resident of Washington County and who has recently been in very bad health, died of consumption last Sunday morning, June 9th, at 6 o'clock a. m. He had gone to Missouri for his health and while there he grew worse rapidly and died ere he could be brought home. He was brought back and the remains were interred at the Stamper's Creek cemetery on Tuesday June 11. The deceased leaves a wife and son, besides other relatives to mourn his loss. To the bereaved ones we extend our sympathy in their darkest hour of sorrow."

"The remains of Lon Warren, who was buried at Stamperscreek (sic) about 10 years ago, were taken up one day last week and re-interred by the side of his companion, Mrs. Oma Warren, who wss buried at Lost River a few weeks ago."
