JAMES HERMAN McDOWELL, 77, of Horn Lake, Miss., formerly of Memphis, died of heart failure Thursday at St. Francis Hospital. Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Saturday at Forest Hill Funeral Home East with burial in Forest Hill Cemetery East. He was a member of Richland Baptist Church. Mr. McDowell, the husband of Juanita Laney McDowell, also leaves a daughter, Myra Lynne McDowell of Memphis; a son, Joseph Larry McDowell of Oklahoma City; a sister, Irene Saunders of Rossville, Tenn., four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
